We’ve just received word from our good friend Ian Graham that a new series of “Policing Paradise” will start being shown on BBC TV as of Monday 8th June, and Ian is wondering how many of our ExPo members around the World are aware of this series and how many have access to BBC TV.
To the best of my knowledge the best way to view the new series would be on BBC iPlayer where you can usually watch all the shows in a series once they’ve been screened on BBC TV. Ian has even sent us a BBC link (see below) to a one minute clip about episode 1 of the new series.

The article reported that the first of 16 episodes of Policing Paradise was due to be aired on BBC 1 on Monday 24th March 2025, and it included the following description of the series, “Keep palm and carry on with Bermuda’s island-hopping, crime-stopping police force. It’s not all blue skies as crews aim to keep locals, tourists and the famous faces safe.”

The series provides what could be said to be a fairly lighthearted view of the Bermuda Police Service, and if there is one major change that our older ExPo members will notice it’s that modern police officers carry far more equipment than the days when we were equipped with nothing more that a whistle, a pair of handcuffs, and a short truncheon which most of us never used during our entire careers! I must admit that one of the most impressive features of the first series was the use of drone cameras which provided spectacular views of the Island which even those of us who live here were blown away with. This second series will no doubt continue to show Bermuda at its best - and just in case you are wondering, all of the police officers are actual police officers from the Commissioner to the constable on the beat.
Let us know what you think.
