Wingood's Westerners!

We pointed out from the outset that this photo is of Western Divisional personnel when the officer-in charge of Western Division was our good friend Hilton "Jellybean" Wingood. "Jellybean" is still with us and still living in Somerset although he has slowed somewhat down these days.

So now all we needed to know was the identities of everyone in the photo and when do you think it was taken?

We had an array of answers but one in particular took the prize! It was from Steve Griffith who is one of the officers in the photo and who served here from 1974 - 1986, spending several years in Special Branch. Here is Steve's reply :-

Steve also estimated that the date of the photo was probably in late 1980.

And just to be sure we had everything except maybe the day and time this photo was taken, our good friend Davie Kerr provided the extra collar numbers!
