Can YOU assist us in finding two missing Police magazines? -  One is our edition, Volume 3 No 1 dated 1957 and the other is an issue published in 1986.

Here's Vol 3 No 2 for 1957
We are looking for Vol 3 No 1 for 1957

Last year we created a brand new feature on our Expo website which you can access on our Home page under “BPS MAGAZINE”.  This enables you to literally read our old Police Magazines dating all the way back to 1955, and you can do so by simply “flipping” through the pages of each magazine. We presently have a total of 49 magazines in the system together with a beautifully illustrated book published in 2014 entitled, “135 Years of Service Issue”.  CLICK HERE to view the collection and instructions on how to navigate through it.

Since introducing this new feature in 2023 we have discovered 10 additional magazines that need to be added including an extra edition in 1955, two additions in 1956, one addition in 1957, one edition in the years 1988, 1991, 1993, and three later editions for 1999, 2009-2010, and 2010-2011.

We are keen to add all of the above to our online collection, and are delighted to report that the National Museum of Bermuda has kindly agreed to scan these additional copies for free, after which we intend to add them all to our collection of police magazines.

Gone will be the days when you have to keep mouldy old copies of these magazines from your time in the Police Service hidden in cupboards, and we trust they will be of interest to all of our members and their families, and to anyone else who wishes to conduct research about the history of the Bermuda Police Service.

We also invite you to check out our Police Magazines collection for the year or years when you were serving in the BPS.  You'll probably find all kinds of information that you've forgotten  it ever existed.  For example, we have just been scanning through the 1985 Police Magazine and some of the articles it contains include:
