We are about to publish an article about one of these police officers  and we are wondering just how many people we can identify from this photo from the mid-1950's.  We believe it was probably taken when an overseas instructor came to Bermuda to hold a "Refresher Course" for constables.  If you can assist in any way in identifying anyone or everyone in the photo and also confirm the date it was taken and the reason for the gathering we would be delighted to hear from you.  Old copies of the Police Magazine may be a good source for tracking down this information.

And why is the officer 2nd from L in the front row not wearing the same socks as everyone else in shorts?

The only ones I'm in any way sure of there are Jim Starbuck (hatless in civvies in the back row) and possibly Floyd "Happy" Duerden next to him in the hat, plus Ken Morris (middle row 1st L), Joe Nixon (4th L), Leon Bean (7th L) and possibly Westmore Bean (extreme R), but I'm open to correction.Editors note - Agreed Davie. Will try to spend a little time figuring out some of the other names.
