Commissioner Darrin Simons said: “This is a proud moment. Today, we are celebrating the promotion of not one but two of our colleagues that are moving on up.
“GSM is code for get involved, solve problems and make a difference. As leaders, when we are faced with challenges, my expectation is that GSM is what drives how you respond to these issues.
“As you address and face these challenges, they become shining examples of your personal responsibility, leadership and teamwork.
“What we do is not just about our people, but as you move into these new roles you remember the essence and reason we come to work — serving the community which sits at the core of what we do.
“I ask that you lead with integrity, even when no one is looking, you remember to create that safety net for your people and that the community sits at the heart of why we do what we do. I offer my profound congratulations and all the best.”
