We have just been advised of the death of former P.C. John Richard Allen, who served in the Bermuda Police from September 1959 to February 1966, at which time he transferred to the Probation Service.  CLICK HERE for John's obituary in the Royal Gazette.

Pior to coming to Bermuda,  John had served in the Royal Warwick Regiment for 2 years, and in the Coventry City Police for 3 years.  While in the BPS he served in Western Division (Somerset), Central Division (Hamilton) as a CID Aide, and then in Eastern Division (St. George’s).  John was a keen member of the Police Rugby Team.

We extend our sincere condolences to his wife, Norma, and to his children Katherine and Richard and their family.   A service will be held at St. John’s Church and we will publish details when it is finalized.
