We are sorry to report that due to the austerity measures imposed by Government,  the Commissioner of Police has decided that under the circumstances there will be no Commissioner's New Year's Day reception at the PRC this year.  This is traditionally a very popular event for our retired and former colleagues so we are naturally very disappointed, but fully understand the reason why, it has had to be cancelled.  We understand that Commissioner DeSilva will look to revive the event if and when Bermuda's economic situation improves.

Our ExPo Committee will be meeting very early in January to organize our own popular annual reception, and a tentative date for it is Saturday evening 30th January after we've all had sufficient time to recover from Christmas festivities.  Please make a note of the date in your diary.
