WANTED - BOWERMAN AND CONNOR
This is an “All Points Bulletin” seeking the whereabouts of two former Bermuda police officers who are WANTED in connection with a planned 40th Anniversary reunion of their former Bermuda Police Training School intake of 2nd and 3rd October 1973. CLICK HERE for article about the reunion.
The two men are Chris Bowerman and Martin Connor.
Young Police Constable Chris Bowerman
Young Police Constable Martin Connor
Chris served in the Bermuda Police for just a year, in Central and Western Divisions. He had previously spent several years working for British Transport as a photographer. We apologize in advance for the rather poor quality of Chris’s mug shot!
Martin arrived here after serving in the Edinburgh Police and he stayed in Bermuda until approximately 1978 during which time he served in Central (Uniform),Operations (Traffic), Motor Cycle Section and then in CID where he was attached to Murder Squad. During his time in Bermuda Martin married fellow Police Constable Maureen (nee Taylor) Connor, and they had a son, Brian John, in 1977. We believe that Martin and Maureen have since been divorced.
If anyone has any idea how we can contact either Chris or Martin we would be delighted to hear from you. We are not offering a reward, but would certainly treat you to a beer or two at the Police Recreation Club at Prospect!
Ian Graham has advised us that they have been able to locate both Colin Hopkins and George Readings, both of who have expressed interest in their reunion.
