Sharon Mae "Tracy" Armstrong
 

We are deeply saddened to report that our dear friend and colleague, retired P.C. Sharon Mae “Tracy” Armstrong passed away on Sunday 18th May 2025.

Tracy served with distinction in the Bermuda Police for 27 years from May 1974 until June 2001, and after attending Basic Training Course No 18 from May-July 1974, Tracy was first posted to the Policewomen’s Section.

In late 1974 Tracy was transferred to Operations (Traffic), and went on to  became the first women police officer, along with Cathy Dorrington, to work on a Traffic Watch where they both excelled.

Tracy served in a wide variety of departments, including CID, Narcotics, Central Division, Parishes, and for the last few years of her career in Prosecutions and in Central (Uniform).

On behalf of all the members of ExPo we send sincere condolences to Tracy’s husband Calvin, her children Kim, Kevin and Jon, and to all of her family and many friends and former colleagues.
