Frank "Gruff" Hammond's Retirement Photo
Not surprisingly we have now been able to identify everyone in this photo taken at the time of Frank Hammond’s retirement in 1975. As usual, Davie Kerr, who to the best of our knowledge never worked in CID, was a great help identifying most of those present. Terry Cabral spotted the fact that it was Campbell Simons on the back row between Frank DeAllie and Norrell Hull, while “Moby” Pett picked out Carol Holdipp and Alan Bolton.
George Rose kindly provided the photograph and if you would like a copy we can send it to you by email in a fairly high resolution.
The names are now listed below.

Hi Steve, Good to hear from you. I'm in the UK at the moment but will post the photo to you in the highest def possible as soon as I return at the weekend.
You are quite aware Mr. Sherratt. If your colleagues can't assist that has nothing to do with me.
Emails provide what we discussed.
Please don't paint me here.
Thank you.
Editors Note: Unfortunately, Terry no longer has any contact details for Chris but if anyone has any suggestions for locating him we would appreciate it.
Yes actually I do. But according to your website I am not allowed to say so.
Editors note: I'm not sure what Terry is referring to. We asked several colleagues if they could assist in tracing Chris Moyse but they had lost contact with him. Terry, if you have his contact details please let us know so we can add him to our List of Colleagues.
Editors note - Many thanks Carlton. Have added Mrs Todd's name to the caption and that completes our list.
Many thanks Terry. Would you, or anyone else know where we could contact Chris?
Hi Davie. Will do.
Roger
She used to type the written statements et al and worked out of Headquarters and Central CID.
All the rest....well I got them right from the get go as I said I worked with everyone of them. Great crew and many memories.
Since many here keep in touch with ex officers, any idea where Les Pearson is or an address. We shared much back then especially when he was hit in the head with a concrete block on Princess Street and I had to pick him up and put him in a windowless Kilo 4 and take him to KEMH. That was a night to remember when everyone else ran away.
A bit off topic but so is life.
Thanks.
Thanks Terry. In answer to your question about Les Pearson we do NOT have his contact details so if anyone reading this happens to know his whereabouts would you please let us know.
