Sad Passing of Lyn Greatrex

We are very saddened to report having just received the news that Lyn Greatrex passed away this morning after having battled with lung cancer for some time.

John has written from his home near Bridgend in South Wales to thank everyone for their support and kind messages during this very difficult period.  John will send a further message when funeral arrangements are known

As many of his former colleagues will recall,  John came out to Bermuda with the Royal Navy in 1970 and served at HMS Malabar before joining the Bermuda Police in 1976. Lyn was a schoolteacher here for many years at Sandys Primary School.  John worked in Central Division and Western Uniform where he was Divisional Cleark for Dave Barber,  and then worked in Comops before retiring in March 2001 after 25 years service.

John and Lyn retained many of their contacts here in Bermuda and we send our sincere condolences.

We later received this touching message from John:-
