This is a team with a difference!   There are some outstanding players on this team, some of whom should be very familiar to anyone who was serving in the Bermuda Police at that time.  So we want to know which team is it?  Who did they play against? When and where did the match take place?  Who was responsible for arranging the match? How many people in this photo can you identify and what was their connection with the Bermuda Police? And finally,  what was the score?

OK, owing to the lack of other input, here's my 2 cents' worth.
This was the Bermuda Select squad chosen to play Coventry City FC from England during their visit in the late '60s, and (to the best of my recollection) they are:-
Back from L:- John Barnett (Police, manager), Ben Swan (Police motorcycle mechanic, although I don't think he actually played for the Police), Winfield Smith (PHC), Arthur Bean (Police), Dennis Wainwright (YMSC), Alan Keagle (Police), Noel Symons (PHC), Gilbert Darrell (Dev Colts), Gladwin Daniels (S'ton Rangers), Alan Harker (former Policeman, coach).
Front from L:- Guiseppe Cammarotto (Hotels), Jimmy Copeland (St G Colts), Jack Crane (Police, captain), Doug Clarke (BAA), Kurt Thein (Hotels), Gary Darrell (Dev Colts), Leroy Lewis (PHC).
I seem to recall that there was some sort of bond between our then CoP George Robins and Coventry City's chairman, hence their presence in Bermuda. The match itself was played at PHC Stadium in Warwick.

Editors note - I believe you are spot on Davie. I wasn't sure where thge match took place. Can anyone provide information about George Robins' connection with Coventry City Football Club?

I know most of the answers as I was indirectly involved with this, but I'll hang off a while until there's been some more feedback.

No idea about when where or why, but some familiar faces include John Barnett, Ben Swan, Arthur Bean, Alan Keagle, Dennis Wainwright, Alan Harker, Jim Lyons, Jack Crane, Leroy Lewis.

Editors note - Correct on all except Jim Lyons who is not in the photo.
