The below message was received from former PC Ken Van Thal.
I would like to congratulate you and Roger for setting up this excellent web site to enable members to keep up with the Force and former colleagues.
I was in the force as PC 395 from November 1971 to 1973. I was in the same intake as Steve Rollin,Russ Delahaye and Mike Brown. Am still in touch with many of the friends I made from that period of my life.

On leaving the Rock I joined the Met Police in London retiring in 1999. For part of my service Basil Haddrell, who was involved in the investigation of the Governors murder, was my boss. On retirement, I continued to work for the Met in a civilian capacity before completely retiring four years ago. Live with my wife Toni in Barnet North London. Still sail a Sunfish at a local club (summer only) and have just taken up horse riding. My rugby days are long over
I am going to try to attach some photos of some former colleagues who you will recognise.

                    Yours
                             Ken Van Thal
