Following a letter to the Editor complaining that bike theft was "totally out of hand", Commissioner Stepehen Corbishley provided the Royal Gazette with information showing that bike theft in Bermuda is at its lowest level in 20 years, and said, the last three years have seen the lowest reported number of bike thefts since 2000. Mr. Corbishley said, "In 2014 there were 8730 recorded bike thefts but in 2019 it had fallen to 584".
